How We Review Products
Last updated: July 24, 2026 · Built for US readers evaluating real purchases
This page is the short, public version of our review methodology. It exists so Google, partners, and readers can see how Tuxedo Verdict evaluates products before we publish scores, verdicts, or affiliate links.
- Marketing claims are not evidence.
- Every review states who should skip the product.
- Affiliate commissions do not set ratings.
- We prefer primary .gov / .edu / PubMed-class sources when we make factual claims.
1. Classify the product correctly
Physical products (supplements, devices, home treatments) are evaluated on formula or materials, dosing or use instructions, shipping/refund reality, and safety cautions. Digital products (courses, software, memberships) are evaluated on curriculum or feature set, access, refund windows, and practical limits. We do not describe a course as if it had “ingredients.”
2. Capture the live offer
Before writing, we record the public sales positioning, package prices when visible, guarantee language, and checkout path. Prices and bonuses change. Reviews tell readers to confirm live totals.
3. Fact-check with independent sources
Claims about mechanisms, safety, or category norms are checked against independent authorities when relevant: NIH/ODS, FDA, FTC, CDC, EPA, PubMed/Cochrane, major medical centers, and university extension resources. Brand pages are treated as seller narrative.
4. Practical evaluation protocol
We do not invent first-person clinical trials. When hands-on testing is not available, we publish a practical protocol readers can run (baseline notes, timed trial inside a refund window, what would falsify the seller’s promise). That is honest Experience signaling without fake testimonials.
5. Structure for search intent
Money pages answer the core question early: does it work, is it worth the price, what is inside, who should skip it. Satellites and educational guides cover long-tail questions and only soft-recommend a product after the education.
6. Corrections and updates
Material errors get corrected. Significant changes are dated. Details live on our editorial standards page.
